Being good is commendable, but only when it is combined with doing good is it useful (Anonymous).
Everyday needs go unaddressed in our local community - people need specialized equipment that insurance companies refuse to pay for; people need to pay the rent while caring full-time for injured spouses, parents, and children; and people need monetary relief when they have lost their jobs or when circumstances force a greater expense upon them than their income allows.
More often than not, there's no miracle cure to be found. There are, however, always lives to be made contented, and lives to made whole by providing the opportunities for the completion of the day-to-day routines that keep us happy, connected, and fulfilled. Seven Chances was founded with a simple task in mind: to meet unmet human needs and to make a difference in the situations of those struggling to make ends meet. Although we're still a young organization, we've been granted powerful opportunities, and we are proud of what we have been able to do.
Community Outreach - We annually collect clothing, food, and money, and select various groups at different times of the year to provide an immediate infusion of these necessary resources for life-sustaining purposes. These groups include the homeless, refugees, and children in long-term care hospital settings.
Co-sponsor events alongside the Buffalo Bisons at Coca-Cola Field - Seven Chances has a continuous working relationship with the Buffalo Bisons to support the mission of Seven Chances and showcase its beneficiaries. Seven Chances conducts innumerable raffles and prize giveaways throughout the season, which fans have responded to with great support. Past prizes have included: Autographed Derek Jeter Jersey, Ipad's, and Autographed Buffalo Sabres Apparel
Seven Chances partners with other local organizations - Seven Chances works with other organizations, charities, and programs because of its developing expertise and leadership in fundraising, event planning, beneficiary selection, and charity administration. One example: at the conclusion of a several day sale, Seven Chances presented a $2,000 donation to benefit and support the mission of Sophie's Club, a Western New York Charity. Please call if you are interested in establishing a relationship with us.
