If you can't do what you want, do what you can (Lois McMaster Bujold).
Everyone has moments when they come face-to-face with an underlying truth; it's just not possible to do everything we want. For some of us, it means that we miss a vacation, purchase a different car, or attend a different school. For others, it means waiting another day to go grocery shopping because you do not have the money today or watching your child suffer because you simply cannot afford the necessary medication.
When we started Seven Chances, it was with these people in mind. We offer assistance –- financial and donation-based –- to people in our local community; those battling cancer, struggling with unemployment, or coping with a sudden injury or a family member’s death.
And most importantly, we connect those who seek help with those who seek to help. Volunteerism is the foundation of this organization, from those who bring their problem-solving skills to the table - to those who help us staff events and transport goods. As we move forward through our early days, we hope to build a strong community of volunteers who can help us reach our goals and continue raising awareness about our cause.
Seven Chances takes great pride in making a difference within the community. Our ability to do this depends on those who volunteer their time and efforts. There are many different ways that you can get involved and do something exciting and significant to improve the lives of those in need. We offer friendly faces, an inviting environment, constant gratitude and encouragement to know that you are making an impact on the lives of others. It's been said that, “you can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you (John Wooden).” If you would like more information on how to become a volunteer please contact us at 716-688-6500 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
